Admission to M. Tech. (Full Time) programs will be through valid GATE score. In case of non-availability of sufficient GATE qualified candidates, the vacant seats will be filled by non-GATE candidates on the basis of performance in a Written Examination.

HBTU (Harcourt Butler Technical University) at rank 1,00,000 in the JEE Mian exam is extremely implausible, particularly for General (Open) Category seats in the B.Tech program. A restricted amount of seats are available in HBTU's B.Tech programs within the General category. The B.Tech cutoff ranks at HBTU for the General All India Quota in 2023 ranged from 22059 to 61411. This suggests that getting a seat at rank 1,00,000 would be challenging.

For M.Tech programs, the eligibility criteria are a B.E. or B.Tech degree in a relevant stream with a minimum of 55% marks, and the selection criteria are based on GATE scores or an entrance exam conducted by the university. The search results do not provide specific cutoff information for M.Tech in Chemical Technology (Food Technology), but they do mention that the admission to M.Tech programs is based on merit in the entrance exam and that the cutoff may vary based on several factors such as the number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs, and difficulty level of the examination.
