Learn about how network protocols help to make a network work properly. L1, L2, L3 and L4.
Ethernet - L2 routing, ARP, STP, etc. IP - L3 routing, RIP, OSPF, etc. TCP/UDP - How packets are built and interact with the network. You would then learn vendor-specific tools/commands to make a network work and route packets correctly. At the end of the day, all networks work the same way, the only difference is what commands specific hardware required to make them work. After qualifying for the aforementioned courses the candidates would be eligible for varied job roles like System Administrator, Network Administrator, System Engineer, Technical Engineer/Computer Hardware Engineer, Network Engineer, Technical support, Helpdesk technician/Network support technician, IT technician, IT administrator, Field service technician, Security Database development and administration and Intranet Specialist.

This is one side of the coin.
Another side, everything is based on your luck and if you have contacts there in Canada like your family relatives is there and if they help you to get a job, then it will be somewhat easy otherwise you will struggle.
