If you take FPGA used for implementing DSP applications, you need knowledge of DSP algorithms. But the challenge is more towards designing the hardware than writing algorithms for filters which is not tough as there is a lot of references already available. The eligibility criteria of UGC NET for Assistant Professor and JRF is given below.
