HIMT has a world-class pre-sea training campus in Kalpakkam, TN. The faculty are very well experienced and they trained us well. Overall, my experience at HIMT campus was very positive.Students come to study in this college all over India as well as neighboring countries. The college is known for marine engineering courses.

In my opinion, VIT Chennai is better than HIMT college becausethe highest salary placement in VIT Chennai is 75 LPA and the highest salary placement in HIMT College is 4 LPA. VIT has 2 coarses for B Sc. and HIMT has only one i.e Nautical Science.Total fees in VIT for B Sc. is 2.40 Lacs whereas in HIMT is 9.75 Lacs i.e VIT is cheaper.NAAC Accreditation for VIT is 'A+' and there is no NAAC Accreditation for HIMT.

All students who has passeed IMUCET exam and scored 60% aggregate in Class 12 are eligible for admission in B Sc. at HIMT College (Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training) and age limit at the time of coarse commencement should be 17- 25 years.
