Generally speaking, a high SAT or ACT score is needed for admission to any Ivy League school. If your score on the SAT is 1590 or higher, or your score on the ACT is 35 or higher, then you are in the top 25 percent of students who apply to those schools.

The procedure to apply to Harvard is quite simple but getting admission is a really tough job. Harvard requires all the international students to either give SAT or the ACT. So, if you plan to apply to Harvard, you must give either of the 2 tests.

3 recommendations from teacher's counselor
4 Extracurricular activities are another important factor

To begin with, take your SAT or ACT and build your profile so that you match the standards of applicants applying and enrolled in Harvard. You must also have very high academic standing and good extracurriculars. They look for students who are all-rounders. Harvard offers limited scholarships to outstanding candidates.
