Harvard and MIT are both not just the top universities in the US, but also two of the most reputated universities around the globe. Securing an admission in either of these universities is extremely competitive. However, with the Harvard University acceptance rate of merely 3.41%, the university is slightly more competitive to get into. Whereas, the MIT acceptance rate is around 4.5%. Hence, it is tougher to get into Harvard University.

According to the national rankings of US News and World Records, Princeton University ranked #1 and Harvard University ranked #3.
