Yes, there is a huge scope for it now, even more so than there was ten years ago. I personally believe that graduates in this field have more opportunities than technology graduates because they can get hired anywhere that is even remotely related to food such as, but not limited to:
Food companies: Most packed food brands (Nestle, etc. ). Employs Food Science graduates in various departments (Research, production, quality, etc. ). Hospitals: For this, you need to get an internship with a registered dietitian (RD) after graduation and then write an exam to get certified as an RD. And if any of your friend has appeared for the recent NET July 2018 exam then you can ask for him or her with the help of his roll number and application number.
