No, CAT is not necessary for an MBA in Hospital Management. Some institutions offering an MBA in Hospital Management may require candidates to appear for CAT, while others accept other entrance exams such as XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAH CET, etc.

An MBA in Healthcare Management is not a difficult course. If you love writing, have research & analytical skills, and have statistical ability, you'll love pursuing the course. Without a clinical background, it may get tough for you to find good job options in the Healthcare sector.
