The minimum eligibility to apply for a UG course at Himachal Pradesh National Law University is Class 12. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate are eligible to apply for admission. Hence, aspirants with 70% in Class 12 have a good chance of getting admission in the university. However, aspirants also need to pass CLAT for a seat in the university.

Students who facmily income does not exceed INR 2.50 Lacs per annum or as may be laid down from time to time are eligible to apply for Merit-cum-Means scholarship of HPNLU. The scholarship is open to deserving and meritorious students.

Yes, Himachal Pradesh National Law University offers scholarships students via scholarship cell. The Scholarship Cell conducts an orientation programme on the different scholarships available to all first-semester students at the start of every academic year. Students can opt for Merit-cum-Means scholarship offered by the university or state or central government scholarships.

HPNLU releases the application form for PhD course in January via online mode. Aspirants planning to apply for PhD entrance test must fill out the application form.

Himachal Pradesh National Law University fee ranges between INR 1.2 Lacs and INR 1.8 lakh. The fee is less when compared to private law schools. The total tuition fee for BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) is INR 1.8 lakh. Besides, the tuition fee for LLM is INR 1.1 lakh. Himachal Pradesh National Law University does not offer direct admission. Candidates are offered seat in the UG and PG courses of the university based on CLAT score. Besides, NLU Shimla conducts an entrance exam for PhD admission. Candidates fulfiling both eligibility and selection criteria are offered admission in the university.
