The students are enrolled by the institute based on the performance in the NIFT entrance, which comprises a written exam, group discussions, and personal interviews. However, in some instances, the facility of direct admissions is availed by a few candidates in cases of sports quotas or other exceptional achievements-but this would be rather an exception. Any candidate who wants to enroll in the MFM course of NIFT, Kangra must be an undergraduate degree holder in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University in India. Two critical components of the selection process are General Ability Test (GAT) and Personal Interview (PI). For instance, B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is INR 4,00,000 along with one-time admission fee of INR 10,000 and all the hostel fees at INR 3,19,500. B.Sc.
