Himalayan Institute of Technology is classified as Tier 2. The institute is renowned for having reliable courses with a great placement record in all these courses, though the maximum package that is reported for the highest pay has gone up to approximately 13.8 Lacs a year. The highest package at HIT reportedly reaches 15 Lacs per year. As it stands, this reflects on a great placement record for HIT where the students are assured a seat at some good company or even at big firms such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS. Himalayan School of Technology offers Tech related courses such as MCA, BCA, BTech and BSc. The four-year BTech programme is also provided as lateral entry programme, which turns into three-year programme for the students to get direct admission in second year.
