The selection in B Tech at Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, HIMT is on the basis of your class 12th marks. Applicants must have qualified Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from a recognised Board. Candidates who wants to take admission to B Tech in HIMT College first needs to appear in the IMU- CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) . It is a national-level common entrance test for admission to B Tech and various coarses at IMU campuses conducted by Indian Maritime University. According to 2023, thoses students who have scored 150 out of 200 in this exam are called for their psychometric test, medical examination followed by panel interview and pre-sea training. Only after clearing all these stages, the candidate is eligible to take admission in HIMT college.
