Hi Deepa,
In B.Sc maths or any UG course, you will get only one subject i.e. basic Tamil in the first year and that can be easily cleared as its only basic Tamil and while doing B.Sc maths during the examination, you may get two choices, taking one exam in Tamil and another in English so you can choose to take the exam in English. Tamil is not compulsory.

English or computers would be better as it is much simpler to address in written form as compared to Hindi.

You may apply for the same, but it would be very difficult to cope up with the lack of the Bachelor's degree learning of the language. Graduation syllabus is definitely advanced as compared to class 12th, so that will not be enough to pull you through. You will have to invest more time.

You can apply for Hindi channels, provided you are confident in the language. The mode of degree is not important that helps you fulfil the criteria.
