Both courses are equally good, and both have huge scope further. But, I think mechatronics is a course, which will be required by all the branches and naval ones are limited to only marine field. Also, mechatronics combines AI and robotics, which will be the most relied fields in future.

Easily you will get a seat in hit. But you need to provide a domicile certificate as there is no other state quota as such for WBJEE related universities but yes you will get a seat.

Dear Nitin,
HIT is good college to pursue engineering in CS unless you have any "Absolutely Good" options. You know that there is overpopulation of CS and IT engineering students who are struggling even after top-tier colleges. So, you just to make sure that you are applying your full efforts from the side. When it comes to the college, it is like an average normal college like any other. It has labs, playgrounds, etc, etc. Placement stats shows the lowest is 3.5 lpa and highest 6-7 lpa.
