Like any other University, NEHU also conducts entrance exam for admissions in MA in different subjects. The syllabus of this exam is invariably the same as that for graduation. As you must have done graduation in history, it should not be a problem for you to clear this entrance exam.

The cut-off goes really high. The cut-off in 6th round for B.A. (hon) history is 86.5%.

96-97 is the cutoff.

Hello Darpan, You appear to be caught in a typical Shakespearean dilemma! Frankly speaking, no subject is difficult or simple. It's all games played by our mind. I would like to advise you that please select the subject based on your fascinations and not on easiness or toughness. I am sure, what you like will feel easy!

Excluding English 88% (in best 4 subjects) and excluding Hindi 85% in the best 4 subjects. One language course is compulsory to be added in best 4 subject aggregate marks calculation.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a 3-year undergraduate degree offered in India, the minimum eligibility for admission to which is passing intermediate or 10+2 level from a recognized board or university. The course is generally offered in Liberal Arts Humanities.
