History is a very important and interesting subject of study. It's offered for graduation in almost all the universities across India. Some subjects vary in each state but many of the subjects remain the same. I would like to suggest you to opt for political science over history. Although history is also not a bad option but the way career in political science is increasing, it made me say this. If you have studied political science as a subject in your graduation or post graduation level, you have plenty of options available besides being a politician. The minimum package at Taxila Business School for PGDM+SAP is 12 LPA.
A student would get at least 12 LPA after the completion of this course.

Let me tell you that after BA, MA would be like an icing on the cake but you have other options like you can go for MBA, LLB and can also go for civil services like UPSC as you have mentioned that your elders asked you to pursue mass communication. Let me tell you that here comes the point of getting confused as students get confused. A student should either listen to what his/her elders say or do what they want. You have done your PG in human development and you have done B.Sc in home science also and apart from that you have done B.Ed also so there is no problem at all, you can teach geography and history to not only 8th and 9th but you can teach up to the college level.
