You are eligible to appear for Public Sector Clerical Services and PO examination conducted by IBPS with BA (Hons.) History degree from a recognized university. Hi Stuti, Both are different as history is broader then anthropology among anthropology and history. The debate will always go on about Indian culture that you should go for history but job wise if you see anthropology, you will realise that it will give you more. So, the choice is yours, you have to finally decide the subject in which you are more interested. If you really want to go deep inside the Indian culture then history would be a better option.

After completing your graduation with BA History, you can go for civil services exams conducted by UPSC. Other than this, you can go for PhD to pursue lecturership which is also a very decent and well-paying job. For this, you can do Masters in History and after that, you can go for UGC NET exam. UGC NET is an exam for those who are willing to pursue their career as a lecturer or willing to go for research in their respective fields. For research, the government provides a fellowship of INR 35,000 per month (approx.) for those who qualify this exam with good marks. If you had the subject combination of education or philosophy with history, then you can do MA in psychology. But, this norm may be flexible in case of distance in different Universities.
