No! You can opt for any BSc course without having a Science stream in Class 12. However, if you want to pursue Home Science at your UG level, you can go for a BA in Home Science. Every candidate is eligible for a BA Home Science course, irrespective of their stream in Class 12.

BSc Home Science is considered one of the easiest specializations in the Science stream. Unlike other BSc specializations like Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, etc., there are no complex numerical, terminologies, formulas, etc. The BSc Home Science course curriculum is based majorly on theoretical knowledge.

In my opinion, BSc Home Science is the most sought-after course in the Home Science stream. It is an undergraduate degree program focused on the study of various aspects of home and family management. It is a multidisciplinary field that combines elements of science, arts, and humanities to provide a holistic understanding of home management, nutrition, child development, clothing and textiles, and family resource management.
