The Aptitude for Service Sector section of NCHMCT JEE is designed to assess a candidate's suitability for a career in the hospitality industry. Unlike other sections of the exam, there isn't a set syllabus but it focuses on the following general areas:Interpersonal Skills: This includes your ability to communicate effectively with guests, work effectively in teams, and build rapport with people from different backgrounds.Problem-Solving Skills: How you approach and solve problems that may arise in a hotel setting is important. This could involve anything from a guest complaint to a malfunctioning appliance.Customer Service Orientation: A strong desire to serve others and ensure their satisfaction is essential in hospitality.Time Management Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines is crucial in a fast-paced environment like a hotel.Stress Management Skills: Working in hospitality can be demanding, so being able to handle stress in a positive way is important.Commercial Awareness: Having a basic understanding of the hospitality industry, current trends, and competitor analysis can be helpful.

CGC Landran offers a three-year degree programme of BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The hospitality course lasts for three years with an affiliation from National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The BSc curriculum includes additinal subjectsn of Food & Beverage Controls, Catering, Human Resource & General Management, Tourism etc. Admission is based on candidates performance in the last qualifying exam. Candidates must have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (best of 5 subjects) for General and OBC categories (and 40% marks for SC, ST, and PwD candidates).
