To attain education in the hotel and hospitality sector, students who have passed 12th and equivalent examinations are eligible to apply for the GNIHM JET. GNIHM JET the most common and sought-after exam for education and a career in the hotel and hospitality industry. A candidate should be passed 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects, from a recognised Educational Board. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (Core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.

The eligibility criteria are different for UG and PG level courses offered at Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management. To secure admission in UG-level hospitality courses candidates should have completed their 10+2 or higher secondary examination. The eligibility criteria for PG courses are such that aspirants should hold a graduation degree from any stream. GNIHM offers a Diploma in Hotel and Hospitality Operation at both the UG and PG level. Thus, the eligibility criteria for this course state that candidates should have cleared their Class 10 or Class 12 or graduated in any stream.

No,   it is not compulsory to take the GNIHM JET to get into hotel management. You can appear in any other entrance exam to get into hotel management colleges. You can also pursue Diploma- and degree-level hotel management courses without taking an entrance exam. The following are some of the colleges available to you: 1. GNIHM JET Exam is conducted four times in a year. GNIHM JET Exam 2024 is on January 12, 2024. JET is conducted by GNIHM in the month of January, April, May and June. GNIHM JET 2024 will be held in several phases throughout the year. The exam will be held in online mode as well as, at designated test centres. Candidates can register for GNIHM JET 2024 as per the next slot available in a month.  GNIHM JET comprises of a total of 65 questions. Out of this number, 60 are multiple-choice in nature and the remaining five are subjective/descriptive questions.

No, GNIHM JET Exam is not an open-book exam. Candidates must note that the GNIHM JET exam consists of 60 Marks Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no negative Marking. Candidates will be asked questions from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, and General English. Candidates will get one hour to complete the exam. In order to secure admission in BHSM and BHMCT courses, candidates need to clear JET Examination that is conducted by the college. For BSc in Hospitality & Hotel Management (H) and MSc/MBA Hospitality and Hotel Management, aspirants need to clear JET Entrance Examination.

GNIHM JET 2024 will be held in several phases throughout the year. The exam will be held in online mode as well as, at designated test centres. The written test is held for those students who are interested to taking admission in Guru Nanak IHM. It is a 60 minutes ( 1 hours) written test with 60 Multiple Choice Questions and five brief descriptive type questions. Total marks are 120. Questions are generally from English, Aptitude, General Knowledge & current affairs. Candidates must note that there is no negative marking on the answers. You can register and appear for the examination at free of cost.
