Yes, a student from an arts background can do BCA. However, only a few universities will allow that with the criteria that the student has Maths and English in 10+2. Some universities allow admission on a merit basis and some have their own entrance tests. The student must pass class 12 with English as a compulsory subject.

I would like to suggest B.Sc. In hospitality studies as it offers close assistance and parting of knowledge in the 4 pillar subjects of Hotel Management i.e. Food Production, Food and Beverage services , Front Office and the Housekeeping department with Both practical and theoretical knowledge included in the syllabus. Its a 3 year course with the 6 semesters. Including the industrial Training in which hotels recruit you as prospective employees. The degree is valid all over the country and also internationally. You can work in various properties like cruises , airlines , resorts, 5 start chains, sky is the limit.
