Hotel management is a course in which you learn about all the operational as well as non operational departments of the hotel. Core subjects are:
Food production in this you'll learn about all cuisines an how to prepare them with perfection. Food and beverage service in this you'll be learning about the different beverages and different service styles. Housekeeping in this you'll learn about different SOP's and cleaning standards of the hotel. Front office in this you'll learn about the front office work and responsibilities. Apart from this there are many ancillary subjects in which you learn about different responsibilities of departments.

Culinary Arts is a part of Hotel Management only. Culinary arts in other words is also known as Food Production. If you want to be a professional chef then pursuing a course in culinary arts will be better but if you want to keep other departments open also then you shall opt for a general hotel management programme. where you will be taught for all 4 departments Front Office, House Keeping, food & beverage service, and food production.

Let me share a few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU :
Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts.

Uni-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff.
Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchens and bakeries are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through the most modern gazettes. We have a few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation.
Placement: Good placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, Jet Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc.
