Dear Sawni Jaiswal, Yes, the hotel management programme is the best at LPU in terms of placements and quality education. LPU offers hotel management programmes at the Diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels. I completed my MBA programme there. One of my friend's brother is also studying there in BHMCT. Let me share a few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU :
Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through the most modern gazettes. We have a few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: Good placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, JET Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. The highest package offered for this programme at LPU is INR 8 LPA. Internship: Industry internships in top national and international five-star hotel brands like The Leela Palace, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, The Grand, Marriott, etc. Intellectual Strength: Faculty members with a holistic blend of academic & industrial exposure. Been a faculty at LPU let me share the admission criteria as I am not aware about IIHM. Student have to Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, a further 5% relaxation is given to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants).
