Hi sakshi, If you have already decided that ultimately you want to be a chef then why to waste your 3 years doing B.Com. I would suggest you to go ahead directly to pursue hotel management course. According to me you should opt for a course Bachelors of hotel management and catering technology (BHMCT). Usually according to the norms of UGC this degree is of 4 years duration that means 8 semesters will be there. Hi Sakshi, Keeping in mind the kitchen, there are many different kinds of chefs, you may opt for the bakery & confectionery, salads or even garnish sections as these do not involve non veg. Otherwise in case you are willing to cook non veg food, it is not so necessary for vegetarian students to taste what they have made. Both courses are different. It totally depends on your choice and your priority in your life because you have to live your life by your own. So its my personal advice that you would choose according to your advice and concern your parents as well for better choice or you can advise or get some advices from your brother or sister in any.
