Hotel management is much better than Food Technology. It has good job prospects. Average Salary per month is from Rs. 20,000- Rs. 50,000. For fresh graduates, it depends on your designation. You may work in great hotels Like Taj Group of Hotels, International hotels etc. , with a post like Duty Manager, General Manager etc. And, later on you may become entrepreneur & open your own hotel or restaurants. But, if you are interested in Food Technology, following are the areas suitable for job:-
Food Microbiologist
Food Standards Officer
Process and product development
Production management
Quality assurance
Food Technologist

The criteria is that you should have atleast 50% in 12th and later on to join IHM, you have to give nchmct exam based on that exam ranking you would be getting colleges.

You can do Diploma in culinary arts or degree (BSC in culinary art) according to your condition.
In my opinion, you should do Diploma in culinary arts.

Yes you can, you would have to do 12th with NIOS board while Diploma in culinary arts because you can't do this Diploma by distance.

Hi Dear, First choice should be IHMs, but near Ludhiana Lovely Professional University is providing dynamic studies in Hotel Management. LPU, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. Now here in LPU there is a relaxation in the eligibility criteria. Earlier LPU conducts LPU NEST for Admission in the school of Hotel Management and Tourism but now due to COVID-19 there is relaxation in the eligibility criteria. LPU an I can vouch for it especially the hotel management courses which excel others. It would be a good choice to opt for LPU as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. PGD in Travel and Tourism Management of Andhra University is one year duration course through distance education. Hence there is no need of any entrance test ranks and you can apply simply if have a bachelor degree. The application Form can be downloaded from the website and duly filled-in Application for Admission along with relevant documents should be sent by registered post/delivered in person at the office of "The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam-530003 (AP)", India, on or before the last date.

First thing is that you have already a great experience and a good degree in hotel management and tourism, I suggest you to that build your career in your field because now a days hotel management and tourism getting slowdown due to pandemic but it is a very broad field in itself. If you want to change your specialisation and want to MBA in finance so you can try because it is also a broad field but your specializations and finance is other things.
