The final selection for IHM Chennai is based on the NCHMCT JEE scores and the subsequent counseling rounds, which concluded after four rounds. Both the Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) and Srinivas College of Hotel Management (SCHM) have their own unique strengths and provide quality education in the field of hotel management. In IHMs you can spend less as it is a public body and in IIHMs you would have to spend no less than 4 Lacs for the course as it is a private body. Other than that, both are best at their own places. Public one offers more better jobs is just a myth. It only depends on your personal skills and your capability to be an asset to the company. I have worked with a large IHG hotel where I found absolutely no difference between an IHM graduate and IIHM graduate. Once you step into the industry the difference between both institutes vanishes off.
