LPU offers more than 150 courses, and there are certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPUNEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech. , MBA, Hons, B.Pharma MLT etc. For some courses like B.A. B. Comm, BBA etc. LPU NEST is not mandatory. LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a national-level entrance test conducted by LPU and is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. So, it totally depends on the eligibility criteria for the course you wish to take admission to. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPU NEST provides an opportunity to applicants who could not perform well in the qualifying examination owing to various personal, academic or procedure-specific reasons and is therefore not able to derive the benefit of the scholarship scheme of the university. Scholarships can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to PhD through LPU NEST score, and various other schemes. Yes, there are some government jobs available for hotel management graduates. There are two ways in which you can work in hospitality services for a government organisation:
1. Apply for professional training after classes X or XII such as the Indian Navy Hospitality Service.
2. Following graduation, apply separately in the appropriate department for positions such as chef at SAI. If you want to work in the Navy, you can apply as a matriculated recruit after graduating from high school. To apply for the Indian Navy, your age must be between 17 and 20. The navy will then train you in professional courses for chef, steward, or sanitary hygienist positions, depending on your selection. If you have already graduated from a hotel management course, you can apply for vacancies in multiple government organizations such as SAI, the railways, IHM, etc. Depending on your interests, you can apply for jobs as a professor, hospitality monitor, chef, supervisor, etc. In addition, you are qualified to apply for regular graduate-level positions such as CSE, CGL, RRB etc.
