The eligibility requirements varies course-wise. However, candidates are required to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for any of the UG courses at Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The minimum aggregate required is 50% in Class 12. There is 5% relaxation for the reserved category candidates. Hence, aspirants with 70% aggregate in Class 12 can apply for any of the UG courses at the institute.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology offers admission to BHMCT course based on MAH HM CET. MAH HM CET is elaborated as the Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell annually.
