No, it cannot be compared with IHM shillong for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, as IHM Shillong placements, experience, and exposure are far better than SIHM Durgapur. IHM Shillong has an average placement rate of 90%. Big hotel brands like Leela, Taj, and Oberoi visit the campus for placements. Students also get placements. The highest salary offered was Rs. 35,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month.

IHM Guwahati Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 4. The Cutoff was released for different category candidates under the AI quota, for the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration course. The Cutoff closed at 1324 for the General AI category candidates. During the IHM Guwahati Cutoff 2023, the cutoff closed at 8780 and for the year 2022, the cutoff closed at 10314, for the General AI category candidates. Comparing the Cutoff for the latest year with the previous two years, an increasing trend can be witnessed.

No, if you wish to pursue a Culinary Arts course, you are just required to pass Class 12, irrespective of your stream, with a minimum of 50% aggregate score from a recognised board. Also, there are some after Class 10 diplomas and certification courses that only need Class 10.
