The options from the candidates for various posts for which they are eligible in the opted Railway, shall be taken during submission of ONLINE applications. On completion of all stages of recruitment process, RRBs/RRCs shall allot post & Railway/Unit as per the option of the eligible candidates ONLY subject to merit, medical standard and vacancy position. The Railway Recruitment Board conducts multiple RRB exams to select candidates for different posts in the railway units.
The RRB exams can be categorized into four categories :
Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exams
The Junior Engineer (JE) exam.
The Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) exam.
Group-D exam.
The syllabus holds the key to clearing the exam, which is as follows for RRB Groups C and D:
Mathematics: Time and Work, Distance and Time, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra Geometry, and Trigonometry elementary Statistics square root, age calculations, a calendar and clock, pipes and cisterns, and so on.

The Railway Recruitment Board conducts multiple RRB exams, such as RRB NTPC RRB Group D RRB JE etc. , to select candidates for different posts in the railway units. The recruitment of the railways is handled by RRBs for Group C (Technical and Non-Technical) posts, and RRCs are given the responsibility of conducting exams for Group D recruitment. The recruitment to Group A and B posts in the Indian Railways is done through the Civil Services and Engineering Service examinations (ESE).
