Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board releases the HP LEET syllabus on the official website.  Candidates are advised to cover the complete HP LEET 2025 syllabus for their preparations. Completing HP LEET syllabus effectively helps candidates to boost their confidence and also helps to understand the scheme of the exam. Candidates will also have to attempt the General Knowledge section in the HP LEET paper. Out of the total 25 questions, 17 will be state-level, 5 national-level and 3 international level questions. The candidates can also read General Knowledge books to be well-informed about the type of questions that may be present in the HP LEET paper.

All candidates will have to qualify HP LEET for admissions into the second year in the Diploma courses offered by the participating insitutes of the state. The level of the HP LEET syllabus will be similar to the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education for Matriculation. Candidates will be able to prepare for both qualifying exams together. As per the official HP LEET exam pattern, the question paper will consist of objective multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four options, out of which the candidates will have to select the correct one. The General Knowledge category will consist of 17 state-level, 5 national-level and 3 international level questions. A total of 100 objective multiple-choice questions have to be attempted by the candidates within 2 hours.

The marking scheme has been released through the HP LEET exam pattern. According to the official HP LEET marking scheme, 4 marks will be given for every correct answer. However, one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. For unattempted questions, no marks will be deducted. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while answering the HP LEET question paper.

The total duration of HP LEET is 2 hours. During the allotted time, the candidates will have to attempt 100 objective multiple-choice questions. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the entrance examination. Candidates are advised to practice and boost their time management skills so that they are able to complete the entrance exam before the entrance exam.
