Regarding the preparation of UGC NET HRM, before doing anything refer your PG Notes. The syllabus is vast so go for selective study. Clear your doubts on time itself. Do not hesitate to ask and do not even collect so many doubts. Must keep in mind to work well on UGC NET General Paper as well. Always make a flow chart or a core diagram of the chapter just to understand simply what the topic contains and how the things are interlinked. Make short notes, study it well and keep revising on a daily basis. Solve a variety of questions to make the concepts clear. Practice questions from previous year test papers.

There are plenty of books available in the market and online. Select them first and then buy it from book shop or you can download it from internet. If you have selected IT, then the best option is to select either Marketing or HR, because both the streams require IT skills to operate software like HRIS, Digital Marketing, SEO or SMO. More options are available with Marketing. Finance also play a role in this as it makes use of SAP, Tally and other software. Best options are marketing and finance.
