MBA in HR is a good specialisation. All the organisations do have a mandatory HR department. There are various fields like Labour management, people management, pay scale management and other industry specific roles. They do have a good pay scale based on the experience. MBA in HR is one of the good option, if you have a keen interest in this field. Some good colleges for MBA-HR are TISS SCMHRD, SIBM, XIMB, XLRI, SP JAIN, TAPMI, apart from Iims.

In the overall comparison for placement opportunities, HR tends to be low. It is due to industry setting as one HR is enough in many companies to manage up to 1000+ workforce (e.g. IT company). The recruitment at HR level is limited in any organization and is also reflected typically in placements too. Being an engineer is always beneficial, as you are generally smart and job-ready.
Demand of sales will never fall, as companies have to sell their products "always".

Hello Kishore,
That totally depends upon what are you good at.
If you are good at accounting, go for MBA in finance.
And if you have good communication skill, you are good at dealing with people, then go for MBA in HR.
Then you will be able to explore the possibilities.
