Hi Harry,
Your chances are dicey. For better chances you must work on your visa application and have clarity over your career plans and intent of study. Just a tip, do not show any intent of immigration, your motive should be to study and come back to India and not permanent settlement there.

This decision depends on your interest areas and your career aspirations. Each area has ample scope from a career perspective. In case you intend to work in a corporate environment in HR then urban development makes more sense. If you want to work in an NGO then rural / child and family welfare makes sense.

It is hard to get a job or get placed if you opt HR. Nowadays, it is somewhat hard to find job because I know people who are not getting job after pursuing HR from reputed universities. The thing is that companies don't want to hire 20-27 employees in HR profile. Same is the case for company secretary.

Indian business environment has got equal or more opportunities with above all specialisations. It depends upon your passion and affection towards a specialization. If you are a commerce background student then go for MBA in finance. Other graduates prefer HR. You can also go for event management.

Normally, it takes place on the same day. Nearly all of the HR people got placed. For accurate figure, you can talk to the Globsyn officials and get the contacts of the ones who got placed.
