Monika, forget the gap and begin fresh. Make a new CV, Exhibit your skills. Mention in your CV the right reason for the gap. Prepare yourself to face the interviews. Circulate your CV to the placement agencies. If there are suitable business houses in your city try to contact their Personnel or HRD deptt by speaking to them about the possible vacancy and how you can fit into that organization. Good luck.

Yes,Post Graduate Diploma in HRM(one year) at serial number 12 is recognised by Distance Education Bureau of University Grants Commission and SCDL is allowed to offer it in distance mode. All the best.

Hi Akshay,
You can opt for HR if you like to see yourself in this stream. Our college does offer HR Specialization, however the students who opt for this specialization are very few. Companies who come for recruitment may not be more than 5 .The highest Package offered has been Rs.6.2 lakhs. However the average package is around Rs.4.5 to Rs.5 lakhs .

HR specialization in college is very good and well experienced faculty with great corporate connect. last year average package was around Rs.5.5-6 Lpa.

The placements for HR is quicker because the number of students is limited to 20 hence the more focus is on HR. The average is around Rs.5-6 lakhs p.a. overall.

The number of HR students are less as compared to other streams. Getting placement is quite easy. Faculties for HR are having good industry experience which helps you on field.

Yes you can pursue MBA in HR. MBA doesn't require to be graduate in specific field. Your degree in sociology will give you benefit if you pursue MBA in HR as it is somehow related to it. Also it will be good for your career.
