Yes, PhD applicants need to submit a statement of purpose reflecting their research interest. The SOP should mention the background of the student, motivation of the aspirants to pursue research, area of research of their interest and any details that aspirant does not mention in the application form.

Candidates need to pass a master's degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate or a two-year PG diploma with at least 60% marks along with a bachelor's degre with at least 50% aggregate to apply for IIM Sirmaur PhD course.
