Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. Graduates from any field of study can attempt this exam. 

The prelims exam of IBPS RRB is conducted at more than 170 cities while theMainsexam is conducted at more than 70 cities. The exam of IBPS RRB is conducted in various venues across many centres in India.  No request for change of centre for examination is entertained. IBPS, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for and a candidate may be allocated a centre of exam outside the State/UT for which vacancies he/she is applying. Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her own risk and expenses and IBPS will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature. Any unruly behaviour/misbehaviour in the examination hall may result in cancellation of candidature/ disqualification from the exam and also from the future exams conducted by IBPS.

The dimensions and specifications related to the photograph for IBPS RRB application form are given below:Photograph must be a recent passport style colour pictureMake sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, backgroundLook straight at the camera with a relaxed faceIf the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadowsIf you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye"If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seenCaps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kbEnsure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. The guidelines for scanning the documents for IBPS RRB application form are given below:Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)Set Colour to True ColourFile Size as specified aboveCrop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature/ left thumb impression / hand written declaration, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above)The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg. Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image iconCandidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain documents in .jpeg format by using MS Paint or MSOffice Picture ManagerScanned documents in any format can be saved in .jpg / .jpeg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu. Size can be adjusted by using crop and then resize option

The steps to upload the scanned photograph and signature while filling IBPS RRB application form are given below:While filling in the IBPS RRB application form the candidate is provided with separate links for uploading photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration and certificate Click on the respective link “Upload photograph/ signature/ left thumb impression/ hand written declaration/ certificate"Browse and select the location where the Scanned photograph/ signature/ left thumb impression / hand written declaration/ certificate file has been savedSelect the file by clicking on it.Click the ‘Open/Upload’ buttonIf the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message is displayedPreview the uploaded image as it will help to see the quality of the image. In case ofunclear / smudged, the same may be re-uploaded to the expected clarity /quality.IBPS RRB Online Application will not be registered unless candidates upload their Photograph,  signature, left thumb impression, hand written declaration and certificate 

IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
