There are negative marking in IBPS SO exam. For wrong answers, 0.25 marks are deducted. Yes, you can apply for any bank vacancy without passing the IBPS exam. IBPS is only required for PSU Banks. All other private banks hire individually. Thus, you still have a lot of banks to apply to without the IBPS exam.
