IBPS SO exam is conducted in multiple shifts and the difficulty levels of the question papers are different. To adjust the difficulty level of the question papers, normalisation of marks is done. The normalisation of marks using equi-percentile method.

The marking scheme of IBPS SO is given below:For correct answer, candidates score one markThere will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests.For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at a corrected score.

The following items are permitted inside IBPS SO exam centre:Personal transparent water bottlePersonal hand sanitizer (50 ml)A simple pen and blue ink stamp padExam related documents (Call Letter/Admit Card, ID card in Original, Photocopy of ID Card,  one additional photograph etc.)Call Letter should be brought with the Photocopy of the Photo ID stapled with it.
