Yes, IBSAT is an online exam. It is a computer-based test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education for admission to MBA/PGDM program of ICFAI Business School (IBS) campuses across India. There are nine IBS campuses- IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Kolkata, IBS Pune & IBS Mumbai.
The IBSAT exam is usually held in the last week of December every year. The exam assesses the candidate's aptitude in areas like Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation, and Reading Comprehension. IBS Aptitude Test also known as IBSAT is conducted for admission to MBA? PGDM programs of IBS nine campuses. Candidates having valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP/NMAT/GMAT/MAH CET or any other state-level entrance examination are exempted from taking the IBSAT exam. ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad releases the IBSAT cutoff along with the declaration of results. The minimum required IBSAT cutoff scores for getting a GD/PI call scheduled at IBS Hyderabad is given below:

The minimum cutoff score for INR 2 Lacs scholarship eligibility criteria is
1. CAT Top 75 candidates with a minimum score of 90 percentile and above
2. XAT Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 80 percentile and above
3. GMAT TM Top 25 candidates with a minimum score of 550 and above
4. NMAT by GMAC TM Top 100 candidates with a minimum score of 225 and above. Candidates will be able to check the updates cutoff score on release of the IBSAT score. The IBSAT 2023 results are expected to be announced in last week of December 2023.

Candidates desiring to take admission to the MBA/PGDM programme of IBS campuses must fill the IBSAT application form compulsorily. Candidates having a valid scores in CAT/XAT/CMAT or any other state-level examination will be exempted from taking the IBSAT exam. While filling the IBSAT application form candidates must enter their personal details and academic details. If the candidate has appeared for any of the MBA entrance examinations, he/she must enter the score obtained to get exempted from appearing in the IBSAT exam. However, if a candidate does not have CAT score, he/she can skip entering the CAT score and proceed to the next step. Such candidates will have to appear for the IBSAT exam when scheduled. The Personal Interview round for admission to IBS and its campuses is expected in February 2023. It is the final and crucial stage of admission to IBS, with a weightage of 25 marks in the final merit. Some interview tips for IBSAT admission are as follows:

2. Stay calm to avoid looking overconfident during the interview round.
3. Don't be nervous while answering questions, which may give a bad impression.
4. Study your graduation subject well to not make mistakes in basic questions.
5. Prepare every aspect of your resume in case anything is asked about your experience, hobbies, etc.
6. Dress neatly in order to appear professional during the interview process.

The IBSAT entrance test is conducted exclusively for admission to the ICFAI Business School. The NMAT exam is held for admission to NMIMS Mumbai and its campuses. As per the rules of the IBS from 2020 onward, the NMAT scores are also accepted for admission to the IBS. Therefore, you can give either of the tests to apply for admission to IBS. The IBSAT score is accepted for admission to the IBSAT and its nine campuses. On the other hand, NMAT scores are accepted in more than 50 management schools. The NMAT is considered more difficult than the IBSAT entrance test. Hence, you can decide as per your requirements. The IBSAT is easier for admission to IBS, but the NMAT is more acceptable.

No, you do not need to apply separately for the IBSAT exam if you have already scored well in the CAT or NMAT exams. As per the latest guidelines of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, which conducts the IBSAT you are eligible for admission into IB colleges with other management test scores apart from the IBSAT. You can take admission to the MBA programme offered by IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur with any of the above test scores. In addition, you can take admission in the PGPM, which is offered by IBS Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.

As per the analysis of previous year's papers, the IBSAT exam is of moderate level. It is relatively easier than other management exams like the CAT MAT or CMAT. There are a total of 140 questions, divided into four sections. Each of these questions carries one mark. Since there is no negative marking, the IBSAT is relatively less challenging than an exam like the IIFT. Also, the Verbal Ability section dominates the question paper with 50 questions of moderate difficulty. This makes the IBSAT paper easier to score with just six months of preparation. The quantitative and reasoning questions can be difficult sometimes, but these tough questions can be balanced out by easy questions in the same section. However, the cutoff is higher due to competition because only 10 IB schools accept IBSAT scores.
