The IBSAT marks are used only for deciding the cut-off percentage for shortlisting and further selection process. The final selection of a candidate is depends upon the following components along with their weightage as under.
1. Past academic performance includes 10th,12th and graduation =40%
2. Personal interview=30%
3. Group discussion= 30%

If you have well prepared for CAT MAT or CMAT, then it is easy for you to crack IBSAT. Still, if you haven't done any preparation, then start solving R S Agrawal and read newspaper, then your half of the work is done.

No, not at all. You can write either of those. Even u get more college covered under CAT then the IBSAT.

IBS also takes admissions through other tests like CAT MAT ATMA etc. You may take a chance otherwise you may apply for IBSAT if you are focussed on IBS.
