Yes, in case the learner has completed the Secondary/Senior Secondary Course from any National/State Board of School Education and wish to seek admission in NIOS for the same course, he/she will be allowed to take admission in NIOS in up to four subjects. Yes, you will be eligible for JEE Main examination after NIOS on demand examination but yes you will have to give with at least five subjects.

First of all, You have not mentioned your stream in question, so I assumed it to be Science. However, When you'll study old papers you'll observe a trend in questions, there is nothing new, every year same questions pop up on your final boards sometimes even without changing values like in Maths and Physics numerical. You can predict your paper, by studying previous year's papers, and I prefer to take a guidebook with solutions because that will tell you, what is needed in an answer and how you have to pen it down on your sheet. Also, some topics are almost there every damn year like a reaction from SN1 of SN2 or a detailed explanation

No, the board from which you studied does not matter if you are aiming for a foreign study and actually passed the board with Good percentile. Colleges always prefer high-rankers rather than a particular board students. Hence, the State, CBSE or ICSE board is irrelevant while applying for colleges abroad.

It is advised to read the ICSE Class 10 Biology textbook regularly and also cover as many sample papers as possible, which will introduce you to a variety of questions.
