The CBSE syllabus is very structured, highly predictable and controlled. All national entrance examinations are conducted as per this syllabus. ICSE on the other hand is conducted by yet another board, CISCE or the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination. It is similar to AISSE conducted by CBSE.

Boards don't make you linguist nor can help you become one by force or special help. I have seen many linguist in both Indian or quite many foreign language including English whose student life clearly expressed their passion and opting for more than classwork sort of things. Yes, ICSE has a great pattern to feed your passion but then you need to work more honestly. So, best wishes from my end. :)

Make your foundation clear now. When you go to 11 and 12, you need to work hard on that syllabus too. And practicing questions of past help a lot.

After class 10th, there are various streams you can opt for. You can either go for Diploma or higher secondary studies. In higher secondary studies, there are three streams namely Science, commerce and humanities. You can choose among these depending upon your interest. All the best.

First, focus on studying your class 11th and class 12th syllabus. Since you are interested in getting into NIFT, you should pay special attention to Maths. Furthermore, you can go through the NIFT entrance syllabus and practice the previous your question papers. All the best.

No, you cannot. Frankly speaking, you can't apply for any job without passing in all your selected subjects under your board. So, definitely have to clear all your papers and then apply for any job, be it government or private. All the best.

To begin with both have different approaches to rendering education. ICSE on one hand renders deep insight and immense knowledge on any topic in its curriculum whereas CBSE on the other hand offers a practical and more superficial usable knowledge on any topic. Moreover ICSE is considered difficult than CBSE, due to its vast course content. However, both the boards are equally good in rendering their purpose of imparting education.

If you have completed your +2 from Science stream only then you are eligible for admission into B.Tech. Other stream students such as Commerce and Arts are not eligible for admission into B.Tech. B.Tech is designed for Science students only.
