No, the IELTS exam centres do not change frequently, rather they are fixed. So applicants who apply for a certain IELTS exam centre should be rest assured that the exam centre will not change at the last minute.

Candidate can take the IELTS test in another country with certain conditions. They need a passport or National Identity Card for registration. In case of a different identity document inform the test center or you will not be allowed to take the exam or refund as well. Since, IELTS test is conducted in more than 100 countries it is best to take the IELTS exam in your city and country. It is always convenient and better to attempt such exams in your own counrty unless there are other genuine exceptions.

The Listening, Reading, and Writing tests take place on the test day at the same IELTS exam centre. However, the Speaking test can be held either 7 days before or after the test date depending on the conditions of the test centre. Thus, applicants should ideally be prepared to sit for atleast all the three sections of IELTS at the same IELTS test centre as chosen during the exam registration.

Choosing an ideal IELTS test centre includes four broad questions:Is the IELTS exam centre nearby? Can you reach your IELTS test centre in minimum possible time? Will you be comfortable giving your IELTS exam in the chosen exam centre? If the exam centre is available for your preferred IELTS exam type?Based on these four questions, applicants can choose their IELTS test centres.
