Yes, Candidates can and infact should apply for the IELTS examination. While there is absolutely no described and compulsary criteria for candidates who are willing to appear in the IELTS Examination. It is advised that candidates should appear for the examination after the age of 16 and above. Academically, there is no restriction as such . The minimum IELTS Band Score required to take admission in the University of Auckland is an overall score of 6.0 and no bands below 5.5 for Undergraduate courses and an overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0 for Post Graduate courses.
