No. IELTS General score will not be accepted by any university. Need to do only Academic module only. General module is meant for workers and for work visa and immigration it will be accepted. It is advisable to do a programme related to your experience. Yes project management is a good option. Given your experience you can also do your MBA.

It will be difficult to find an A grade university or college as 6 is slightly a low score.

I believe you will not be able to find a reputed university in Canada with this score. You have to score something above 8 to find a good college.

Masters in industrial management (M.Tech /M. B.A. ). From IIT or IIM provides more chances of good job. If you can pursue it from any famous foreign university either offline or online, it is better. Doing Post graduate Diploma in above field or in business analytics & management is also a good choice. I will also suggest you to learn any foreign language like French (suitable for management)/German/Japanese (for technical) if you have not learnt. This will make you different & better from other employers.

If you have IELTS of overall 6.5 and at least 6 in each category should be good, as far as IELTS eligibility is concerned. Just check for options such as Number of years of education ( example 15), Bachelors cut off if any, professional experience needed or not depending on course and respective University, GMAT score cut off as applicable.

For sure, IELTS is a widely accepted English proficiency test score. Most of the Universities need minimum of 6/9 in each category, or 6.5/9 in each category plus the overall band of 6 or 6.5. Make sure to check for University individually too to see their customized requirement. I believe, you should be taking the academic IELTS. General format for students may not be accepted. Since you can try giving test multiple times, AIMAT at least 7. Practice well and do well.

Hello Surya, Good universities abroad invariably demand an impeccable academic record. But then if your record in extra curricular activities is good then you may still have a chance. I would advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad to know details.
