International students are required to submit their English language proficiency test scores to show that they have a specified level of English language ability. International students coming from non-English speaking countries like India are required to show their English Language Proficiency by qualifying IELTS with a qualified score. However, the University of California, Santa Barbara also accepts other English Language Proficiency test scores such as TOEFL/ Duolingo (DET) and others. Indian students seeking admission at the University of California, Santa Barbara for undergraduate programmes are required to have a minimum band of 6.5 in IELTS. For graduate programmes, the University of California, Santa Barbara accepts IELTS scores which are no less than 7 from international students for admissions.
