Emory University demands English language proficiency scores from all international students as an admission requirement. At Emory, if English is not a candidate's primary language, then they are required show that they’re able to succeed academically in a rigorous English-speaking classroom. Also, candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English at the time they apply. Majority of the programmes at Bachelors degree level and above at the University of Derbyrequire an IELTS score of between 6.0 and 7.0 with a minimum score required in all areas. At Tufts University, all applicants whose primary language is not English must submit proof of English proficiency. However, if an applicant satisfies one or more of the following conditions, they are not required to provide a IELTS,  TOEFL or Duolingo score:Citizenship of Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Guyana, an Anglophone country of Africa or an English-speaking country of the Caribbean; ORA college or university degree earned in the United States, in one of the countries listed above or from an institution with English as the medium of instruction; ORCurrent enrollment as a full-time student in a degree-granting programme in the United States or at an English-speaking school. Also, the student must have successfully completed two consecutive full-time academic years of college or university work prior to the date of anticipated enrollment at Tufts University.If an international candidate cannot satisfy any of the conditions listed above, they have to submit their English language exam scores as an admission requirement while applying to Tufts University.
