The differences between the IELTS Academic and the IELTS General are as follows:
1. Use: The IELTS Academic Test is for students who want to apply for higher education or professional work abroad. The IELTS General Training test is for those who want to migrate to other countries for other purposes, such as work.
2. Test mode: The IELTS General Test is conducted in computer mode only. The IELTS Academic can be taken offline as well as online.
