IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores are required to get admission in UG and PG courses abroad and to obtain PR in English-speaking countries. IELTS Scores are calculated on a scale of 1 to 9. An IELTS Score of 7.0 and above is generally considered as a good IELTS Score as this would eligible the candidate to apply to most universities abroad without worrying more on English language proficiency cut off. However, this may differ based on the individual's needs and the requirements of the institutions applicants are applying to.

The University of Georgia expects a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 from undergraduate and graduate aspirants. The IELTS's single band must not be lower than 6.
